(Almost) Spring

While it's not quite warm enough to begin planting outdoors, things are coming alive indoors. I love walking through the greenhouses in spring.

I was getting impatient to get the garden going so I decided to plant some veggies on the propagation table. I was amazed at how quickly they came up. I planted the summer squash and lemon cucumbers and the cilantro (large terracotta dish) on April 24th. Just ten days later and this is what we have!

I also decided to create some new kalanchoe starts from a houseplant that had gotten too big. Looking pretty good so far:

Our heirloom garlic is looking healthy, and our magnolia is finally starting to blossom.

I can't wait to start the rest of the garden soon!
